A little stop on our way towards the coast from the Škocjanske jame was the fortified Church of the Holy Trinity in Hrastovlje. Views were beautiful despite the somewhat rainy weather, which did clear up a little. Even though the weather was a little rainy I was seeing the silver lining in everything as I was enjoying my travels enormously. With pictures I find the clouds bring a certain mystery to the overall image, and I don’t mind it even if I have been clearly a blue sky lover (and still am).
Inside the church is the famous Danse Macabre (the Dance of Death) illustrating how regardless who you are in life, death unites all. Earlier visiting the Ljubljana Castle I saw the copy of this and it really was copied identically with all the missing bits also missing on the copy. These following pictures of the Danse Macabre are from the copy of Exhibition Slovenian History – Ljubljana Castle which I got from my visit to the Ljubljana Castle.
From the Dance of Death to the fortified church itself and the mysterious views surrounding it.
