Before my trip to Slovenia I looked up facts regarding the country. One of the facts was that there is a respectable 46 km of coast line. Now looking into it again, I found varying information for the length of the coast line, from 42 km to 47 km. But it’s thereabouts. This post is of three towns on that unknown length of Slovenian coast, probably over 40 km and under 50 km. Also know as the Slovenian Riviera.
We only passed Koper, which is a port town. We stopped in Izola for lunch, in Piran we walked around and had coffee and in Portorož we had ice cream. We aimed to get to Istria in Croatia so it was a quick visit to the Slovenian coast. I really enjoyed Piran especially.
The first pictures is to let you in on the weather… Yep, it rained. Might also be evident in the pictures of empty beaches.
Fair warning… There are a few pictures! I hope you enjoy them despite the grayness of the skies.
